Collaborative Efforts
Collaborative Efforts (M3)
When it comes to collaborating with other people everyone should cbe on the same page. Right now, in this class we have some who have been blogging for years, then you have me. I find it hard using blogger. I think there could be something better out there that we all could be on that will give everyone the out come no matter if they are new to it or been blogging for years.
I have found that with in this class it has been hard to see when people have posted or get to other classmates to make a post on what they wrote.
The question is if there is an online student who does not want to colllaborate in the online community. What should the instructor play and who should this impact would it have on the assessment plan? The truth is, I need help to answer this question. Being one who is still trying to learn how to use blogger and learning my way around I am having trouble doing what I need to do. If I could I would start over and find a program that would allow me to do the same thing as blogger, but would be simple and easy to understand.

Take a look at my post. I think I take a pretty firm stance on this issue. But also like you I am having a hard time keeping track of blogging. I think all our class members are interested in the class and participate well in the discussion. However when we leave the blackboard site it gets harder to keep the interaction going. I wish there was one dedicated blogger we had to use and one way to keep track of the blogs.
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat...this is my first attempt at blogging as well. Also at collaborating in an online class too. I have been so used to doing things on my own I find this difficult, probably more so that it needs to be. I think there is a blog service where you can sign up and see all of the blogs you are following, but I have not found it yet. Just in case you did not see the change for my blog site it is now at http://georgeoneal62.edublogs.org/

It seems we are all on the same wave length! This is my first blog too, and I have been able to poke around and figure out how to set it up and add to it. It was frustrating trying to add things like my story board and diagrams. They don't just cut and paste well. I finally figured out to just upload them and give you a link on the page to it.
ReplyDeleteI also have to keep leaving myself notes all over, trying to keep up with the two projects, discussions, blog, and a wiki. Teachers here go back to work in two weeks, so I'm trying to get it all done. Sigh.
AGREED!!! If I am to be honest, I have done very well in this class until NOW!!! I have made my first two failing grades all due to these posts. One of my complaints is not as much with blogger as the two classes that I am taking seem to be similar in their demands and it has been difficult for me to devote an equal amount of time to both. I spend most of my time trying to make sure that make a good video for both, so other smaller tasks seem to be looked over. I am usually working on posting for the discussion for both classes and working on the other assignments. When I am working on so many other projects, it is difficult to spend time trying to figure out ins and outs of blogger. I also find myslef skimming through the reading passages because there are so many chapters in one week to read that I don't have the time to absorb the material in the way that I would like to.
ReplyDeleteAnd with school starting back it has been a little overwhelming.
Okay...I think I am done.
Hi Michelle. I have not been able to find a link to your project. Your last post here sounded pretty stressed, so I wonder if you are still in the class? I hope you made it through. If you have a link, let me know so I can see it. Best wishes....
